I’m Ian and this is my personal website.

Me on a beach, probably lost, somewhere in the South Pacific

I live and work in Kirikiriroa (aka Hamilton) New Zealand, and divide my time between there and the beautiful Kingdom of Tonga (it is a long story - and an amazing place!). I consider both my home, certainly for the next few years.

This website is where I post notes and pictures of interesting (to me!) things I see and do both on the internet and in real life. If you read something here and enjoy it - or otherwise - please don’t hesitate to drop me a line and let me know: my email address is on the home page of this website.

All opinions expressed here are my own, and please don’t take anything I say too seriously.

The website is built using Hugo (via micro.blog) and Emacs, and the theme is based on Mythos which was created by Matt Langford.

I have put a few links to my social media in the menu but this website will have the most up-to-date information on what I’m doing, and stuff I’m looking at or thinking about now. Bluesky is my preferred platform.
